Motor (magazine) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Motor (magazine)
''MOTOR'' is an Australian automobile magazine published monthly by Bauer Media Group starting in 1954. ''MOTOR'' is Australia's premiere performance car publication, with two major crowns for automotive manufacturers: 'Performance Car of The Year' and 'Bang For Your Bucks'. The 2009 winner of 'Bang For Your Bucks' was the Subaru Impreza WRX sedan, which took over from the Ford FG Falcon XR6 Turbo ute, while the 2010 Performance Car of the Year saw a joint victory shared between the Nissan R35 GT-R and Audi R8 V10. Last year, MOTOR also added to its prize pool with the Castrol Edge Hot Tuner Shootour, won by Peter Fitzgerald's Porsche 911 Turbo, as well as the $10K Challenge, won by 'The Westies' (journalists Shaun Cleary, Paul Cockburn, and Damion Smy) with their rebuilt 1974 VW Beetle. ''MOTOR''s writing sees a line-up of local and international journalists including David Morley, Paul Cockburn, Michael Taylor, and Nathan Ponchard under the editorship of Andrew MacLean. ''MOTOR'' magazine was originally published as ''Modern Motor'' from its inaugural issue in May 1954 by the late Colin Ryrie as MD of Modern Magazines and Jules Feldman OAM as Editor. The name derived from the publishing house that produced it, Modern Magazines. Colloquially, the title was abbreviated to ''Motor'', and subsequently the word 'Modern' was dropped from the title to become simply ''MOTOR'' in 1992. ==References==
